Every mile, mapped
Turn your Strava activities into a poster worth hanging.
Heatmapster pulls your runs and rides straight from Strava and turns them into a high-resolution heatmap you can actually print — sharp enough for a full wall poster, not just a screen.
How it works
Connect Strava
Authorize Heatmapster to read your activities. We only ever request read access — we can't post or change anything on your account.
Pick your activities
We import your runs and rides in the background. Filter by date, distance, or type, and choose exactly which ones make the cut.
Frame your heatmap
Drag, zoom, and search the map to find the perfect crop. Choose a theme and add your name, distance, or year as a caption.
Print-ready in minutes
Download a 300 DPI PDF sized for real wall art — every street you've ever run or ridden, ready for the frame shop.
Built for print, not just a screenshot.
- 300 DPI output sized for real 12×18in wall posters — no pixelation up close.
- Five themes — Light, Dark, Black & White, Purple, and Magenta — designed to look great framed.
- Optional caption with your name, total distance, activity count, and date range or year.
- Free — one poster per Strava account. No payment, no card details.
One race is enough
A single marathon makes a poster too.
You don't need years of training data. Select one activity and the map becomes a portrait of that route — every turn of the course, at the scale it deserves. Your first marathon, a 100 km bikepacking day, the ultra you swore you'd never repeat.
It's the same flow: pick the one activity instead of all of them, frame it, and add the race name as your caption. The route fills the frame instead of a whole city.
- Your first marathon, start to finish line
- A long-distance bikepacking route
- An ultra, a fell race, a fjord swim
- The parkrun loop you've run 200 times

Every line is optional — keep the race name and drop the rest, or turn the caption off entirely and let the route speak for itself. For a single activity the “number of activities” line is left out, because “1 activity” on a poster of one route says nothing.
Common questions
Can I make a poster of a single race, like a marathon?
Yes. You don't need years of Strava history — select one activity and the poster becomes a portrait of that single route, filling the frame instead of a whole city. It works for a marathon, an ultra, a long bikepacking day, or any single run or ride, and you can add the race name as the caption.
How big can I print it, and what resolution is the file?
Every poster is a 12x18 inch portrait PDF at 300 DPI — 3600 x 5400 pixels. That is a true print resolution, not an upscaled screenshot, so it stays sharp at full wall-poster size at any print shop.
How much does it cost?
Nothing. Heatmapster is currently free — one poster per Strava account, with no payment step and no card details asked for at any point.
What does Heatmapster access on my Strava account?
Read access to your activities, and nothing else. Heatmapster cannot post, edit, delete or change anything on your Strava account. You can disconnect at any time from Strava's own settings, and ask us to erase your stored data.
Which activities can I include?
Runs and rides imported from Strava. You can filter them by date, distance, type and name, then select exactly which ones appear — all of them, one season, or a single race.
Can I choose which area of the map the poster shows?
Yes. You drag, zoom and search the map to set the crop before generating, and what you see in the preview is the extent that gets printed. You also choose the colour theme and which caption lines to show.
